Current Openings:

Data Jockey

As a Data Jockey you will be responsible to work with the Research Managers by providing in-depth data/statistical analysis. The Data Jockey will be expected to independently process and deliver analytic deliverables, advise Research Managers in study design and interpretation of results, and be able to communicate analytic results with clarity. You love data and turning it into easy-to-understand visualizations!

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an analytics role
  • Bachelor’s degree in math/stats/research/social sciences preferred.
  • Experience with multivariate statistics (e.g., regression, factor analysis, correspondent analysis, discriminant analysis, drivers analysis) is required.
  • Experience with IBM SPSS Statistics, SAS and/or R;
  • Experience with text analysis, working with different data sources/types (e.g., social data, qual survey data) is desirable.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data visualization techniques.

Senior Research Manager

A Senior Research Manager works in partnership with clients and leads an internal team to design research approaches and methods that ensure clients receive critical information to help them make better decisions. A Senior Research Manager typically has 6-9 years of experience in an insights or research role, managing projects from start to finish and presenting recommendations that allow clients to see the story in the data. The Senior Research Manager leads a group of Research Associates to support their client projects. 

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and conduct quantitative and qualitative research from beginning to end, providing actionable recommendations on next steps
  • Leverage your prior research experience and seek new information to effectively meet client research objectives on a variety of projects which may involve branding positioning/strategy, pricing research, advertising and communications, or customer experience.
  • Manage day-to-day interaction with clients, building rapport and establishing trust in your ability to suggest methodologies and answer research-related questions
  • Execute studies that include objective identification, determine sample sources, review sample plans and create and manage workplans and timelines.
  • Design and develop questionnaires, recruitment screeners, moderator guides, in-depth interview guides and other tools to help collect primary research.
  • Work proactively with internal cross-functional teams such as Data Services to manage projects and solve problems and actively participate on internal committees.
  • Ensure execution of all project activities, which may include moderating focus groups, conducting in-depth interviews and quality checking work.
  • Analyze and interpret data to create in-depth story style reports.
  • Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals, and deliver research design and methodological advice to our clients.
  • Present results to clients both over the telephone and in person.
  • Conduct Insightrix marketing by writing research summaries, case studies, blogs, articles, etc., and participating in key industry conferences as a speaker and/or research expert.
  • Provide day to day guidance and coaching to an account team of Research Associates

Qualifications:

  • A passion for research
  • Postsecondary degree in a related discipline (e.g., business, social science, humanities, economics, math, etc.).
  • A master’s degree is considered an asset.
  • 7+ years of market research experience, including both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience crafting story-driven market research PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: MaxDiff, concept, positioning, copy/ad, tracking, pricing, conjoints, driver analysis and segmentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Research Manager

A Research Manager works in partnership with clients and leads an internal team to design research approaches and methods that ensure clients receive critical information to help them make better decisions. A Research Manager typically has 3-5 years of experience in an insights or research role, managing projects from start to finish and presenting recommendations that allow clients to see the story in the data.

A Research Manager is adept at client management. For each project, they have a thorough understanding of client needs and can deliver on client expectations. They make projects happen and can juggle multiple projects successfully in a time-sensitive environment. With highly honed analytical skills, a Research Manager has a keen focus on detail and produces a high-quality product every time. They enjoy digging in and getting the work done but take a step back to contemplate different approaches.

A Research Manager also helps to train those starting their careers on research fundamentals.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leverage prior research experience and seek new information to effectively meet client research objectives on projects which may involve brand positioning, pricing research, advertising and communications, or customer experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients by responding to queries and providing updates per client requests.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with clients, building rapport and trust in your abilities to recommend methodologies and answer research-related questions.

Project Manager

Insightrix is looking for a sharp and energetic individual who is seeking an amazing career opportunity at Insightrix Research as a Project Manager.

You take deadlines seriously and can work on multiple projects in a fast past environment. No one project is the same and you can adapt to changes and have strong critical thinking skills. Your skills in Excel go above and beyond typical data entry.

Your primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparing sample files and loading them into the software system(s).
  • Developing custom email templates for survey projects.
  • Developing survey topline links that are provided to clients.
  • Setting up and monitoring study quota groups to ensure a representative sample is achieved.
  • Reviewing the quality of the survey data collected.
  • Testing programmed surveys on different mobile devices and browsers.
  • Preparing materials such as interviewer instructions and scripts for the call center.
  • Training the call center on projects.
  • Preparing weekly project performance reports
  • Preparing SPSS and Excel files for delivery to clients
  • Using Excel for mathematical calculations and manipulating data
  • Following and maintaining ISO 27001 processes and procedures

Requirements

  • A college or technical school graduate
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • High attention to details.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Technical aptitude with an ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on proactive and creative approaches.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as you will be responsible for communicating with multiple team members during a project’s execution.

Assets

  • Experience in the Market Research Industry
  • Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Key core PM competencies including scope management, cost and risk management, timely decision making, effective team building, ability to prioritize, and deal with changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of databases including SQL query language.

Research Associate

This is a great opportunity to learn from some of our experienced market researchers!  You will have the opportunity to be involved in projects that include both traditional and emerging research methodologies.  The primary function of this position is supporting our senior researchers in all facets of a market research project, including conducting literature reviews, in-depth interviews, focus groups and survey analysis. In addition to growing their fundamental skill set as a researcher, Associates at Insightrix are encouraged to participate in our company’s exciting culture and enjoy this dynamic stage in their career.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate inputs for research projects
  • Design and update questionnaires based on received feedback
  • Test survey links
  • Review and analyze survey results
  • Review, read, and create crosstabulations of survey results
  • Develop/chart data using report templates
  • Source images and/or infographics to enhance deliverables
  • Conduct secondary research to support the analysis
  • Attend client meetings and presentations, including note-taking and active listening
  • Learn about client business and industry issues via secondary sources and exposure to projects
  • Manage client requests

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional job experience
  • University Degree or Graduate Program in a relevant field (Market Research, Business Insights, Marketing, Statistics, or other)
  • Solid English communication skills, both written and oral

Market Research Interviewer

Are you looking for a job with flexible hours and the possibility of working from home? Come and join our great team of phone interviewers and work on a variety of interesting projects!

We provide in-person training for this position in Saskatoon and ample support from our friendly and helpful supervisors.

Hours Available:

Monday-Friday: 5:00 PM-9:00 PM
Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Weekend: Saturday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM-7:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Flexibility: Evenings and weekends availability with the possibility to work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Experience: Call centre or customer service experience is an asset.
  • Setting: You need to have a dedicated space in your home where you can conduct surveys without background interference if you work from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Reaching individuals selected for a survey by phone
  • Conducting telephone surveys with those contacted
  • Reading of the wording of pre-established questions and the response choices displayed on the screen
  • Recording responses provided by respondents into a database using your computer
  • Typing respondents’ answers to questions accurately and paying special attention to spelling and grammar

Skill Set:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using a computer
  • Personable and comfortable dealing with the public
  • Personal qualities of being adaptable, courteous, patient, having a positive attitude and having excellent listening skills
